All Concrete Will Crack

Yes, all concrete will crack! There are two types of cracks;

  1. Structural – a structural crack happens if proper protocol (ACI or engineered protocol) is not followed.
  2. Hairline – Everyone gets these.

If placed properly, concrete should last generations without issues. Although mother nature can sometimes play a role with earthquakes, tornados, and tsunamis. Most consumers are not aware of this information because many contractors won’t offer this for fear of losing the job/contract. This information should be provided whenever a reputable contractor comes out to give an estimate. Summit Concrete follows protocol and doesn’t stray from it for any reason.

Building a driveway or patio takes a team of qualified professionals. We are licensed, bonded, and insured with years of experience creating beautiful and lasting patios. Learn more about our services by contacting Summit Concrete & Construction today.

Having worked in concrete as a younger man and having that knowledge behind me, i was very particular about who would pour and finish my 1,100 square foot patio. I met with multiple contractors and chose Summit Concrete and Construction. These guys did exactly as advertised. They back put down commercial grade weed blocker, rebar on chairs every 18" and used chat instead of dirt for fill. They worked with me in design and were flexible to my changes as the project developed. I can say with zero hesitation that i would recommend and use Alan and Dexter and Summit Construction again for my projects. Great company!!!
